This application can send emails to your recipients. Before sending emails, you need to configure your email setting.



Employer Zone supports four mail driver that can send emails:


Sending mail using SMTP


This is one of the most common email configuration. Following are the fields that needs to be entered while you are sending email using SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol):

If you are using your google accounts as SMTP server, then go to your google accounts, click sign-in and security and set Allow less secure apps: ON. If it is set to OFF, then you might not be able to send mail.


Once you click on save button, Employer Zone validates SMTP server. Once everything is Ok, you can start sending Emails.


Use below configuration for sending mail from gmail account


  • Go to configuration, select mail tab.
  • Select smtp mail driver.
  • Enter from address & from name field.
  • Enter smtp.gmail.com in host field.
  • Enter 587 in port.
  • Enter your gmail username & password in desired field.
  • Save this setting.
  • Go to your google accounts, click sign-in and security and set Allow less secure apps: ON. If it is set to OFF then you might not be able to send mail.


Sending mail using Mailgun


To use this service, you must have a working Mailgun account. Mailgun provides 10,000 free emails every month. You can purchase extra emails if required from Mailgun. Follow these steps to complete your Mailgun account:

  • Go to www.mailgun.com. Incase you don't have an account, then signup for an account. If you have already an account, login with your username & password.
  • Add your domain from which you want to send Emails.
  • Verify your domain by adding CNAME & TXT records. Check Mailgun guide for any kind of help/assistance.
  • Once verified, you will get your email credentials from Mailgun .


Other than SMTP fields, Mailgun requires two additional fields:

Once saved, you can try sending emails. Please note that, Employer Zone cannot validate Mailgun credentials. Users have to verify it manually. If entered details are correct, you can start sending emails.


Sending mail using Mandrill


To use this service, you must have a working Mandrill account. Mandrill provides 2,000 free emails every month. You can purchase extra emails if required from Mandrill. Follow these steps to complete your Mandrill account:

  • Go to www.mandrill.com. Incase you don't have an account, then signup for an account. If you have already an account, login with your username & password.
  • Add your domain by which you want to send Emails.
  • Verify your domain by adding CNAME & TXT records. Check Mandrill guide for any kind of help/assistance.
  • Once verified, you will get your email credentials from Mandrill.

Logging Email


When 'Log' option is selected, emails are not actually sent but are stored in application Log. To use this field, From Address & From Name field is required.
